Professional Studies AS – Business Administration – Management Option

Code: AS.PS.BUS.MGMT

The Associate in Science (AS) Degree, Management Option is designed for students seeking a career in the management field. This AS provides a solid foundation for transfer to a senior institution for higher-level study. The Degree offers an integration of accounting, business and liberal arts courses needed to enhance critical thinking, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required by contemporary managers.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate business knowledge and broad-based business theory which positions them for third-year admission into a senior institution.
  • Substantiate proficiency in a four-year college/university accounting core of six-credits; i.e., financial and managerial accounting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to define, describe, and explain the universal management functions of directing, planning, organizing, and controlling.
  • Demonstrate the ability to define, describe, and explain basic economic principles that may affect businesses
