HH 772 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program

This 90-hour lecture, laboratory and clinical program prepares the student to care for residents in long term care, sub-acute rehabilitation facilities and some hospitals. This course is approved by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and complies with regulations and standards of Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). The program requires 50 hours of lecture/laboratory and 40 hours of clinical rotation in a long term care facility (Clinical Rotations will start in the facility at 7:30 am). After successful completion of this course the student is eligible to take the NJ Certified Nursing Assistant Examinations (skills test and computer written examination). Tuition includes: textbook, uniform voucher and all certification/testing fees.

Prerequisite: Complete medical examination, fingerprinting, and criminal background check. Fees associated with the physical examination and required TB testing are the responsibility of the student. Students must register 30 days prior to course date in order to complete required physical examination and two-step TB testing requirements or chest x-ray. No student will be permitted to participate in the course without completing all prerequisites - No exceptions.
