Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Conversion Course

This 10-hour course is designed to train and qualify current NJ Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide care to clients in their residence or Assisted Living Facility as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) through the NJ Board of Nursing. Students learn how to provide safe care in a home environment and review differences in standards of care for facility vs residence. In addition, the CNA will learn how to administer care to hospice clients and their families in the home.

Prerequisite: Must have current, unexpired NJ CNA certificate and must present CNA certification document at the time of registration. Please bring original copy of current CNA certification (picture attached) to the first day of class. No copies accepted.

Tuition includes course materials, skills review and testing. Application and required fees for NJ Board of Nursing for CHHA Certification are the responsibility of the student. Fees range from $65-$80 for application process.
