This 40-hour course is designed to provide a foundation for all health profession programs. Students will learn the universal language of medicine by identifying root words, prefixes and suffixes commonly used in the healthcare industry. Proper use of medical terms provide effective communication related to client care in the workplace. Terms, abbreviations, anatomy and physiology, therapeutic procedures and pharmacology terms will be presented in detail during this course.































Students registered for the Medical Billing Certification program are automatically registered for this course. All others are required to register.
