CERTIFICATE IN GREEN TECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABILITY

The Green Technologies and Sustainability program is an interdisciplinary certificate program focused on developing job ready skills and training strategies  for the following, emerging industries: Sustainability, Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency.  Emphasis is placed upon sustainability in the built environment, energy technology, life cycle analysis, resource efficiency, and environmental awareness.

This program offers hands-on learning opportunities, is approved by the NJ Veterans Administration, and is available to Veterans with Education Benefits.   Some Courses qualify for Professional Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Field trips and hands-on skills labs are offered in certain courses. Sign up for the entire certificate program or individual course(s).   The full certificate program tuition is $3,600, plus $400 for books and materials.  Tuition and fees for individual courses, taken separately, vary.  

Certification exam testing fees are not included. This program is available for adults and vocational students, age 18 and over; no prerequisites required to register.

CERTIFICATE IN GREEN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Certificate in Construction Management provides students with the opportunity to develop the specific skills required to gain the competitive edge in this industry. Curriculum covers a broad range of relevant topics, from legal principles and site organization to green building attributes resource management and green technologies. Classes are taught by professional construction management and legal professionals who bring their real-world expertise to the classroom  Individuals already in the field will gain skills and further their knowledge in a variety of areas including the energy management, life cycle assessment, workplace safety issues; and renewable energy systems. Some courses offer industry professional Continuing Education Units, or CEU’s.  To obtain the certi?cate of completion in Green Construction Management attendees must successfully complete all core courses and five electives, textbooks are available at the BCC Book Store.

Final exams are given for feedback.  A letter of completion showing a grade is available.
